India, Sept. 27 -- SL Science Holding Limited (SLBT), a biomedical company, last week announced positive preclinical data assessing gamma-omega T cells for treating glioblastoma (GBM). The results were presented at the 85th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Cancer Association. Glioblastoma (GBM) tumors are usually treated with temozolomide chemotherapy, yet the malignancies tend to return. The recurrence is driven by the MGMT repair enzyme possessed by certain cancer cells, that offers resistance to DNA damage caused by the chemotherapy.
