India, Aug. 13 -- Rush have announced new vinyl releases in celebration of the legendary Canadian rock band's 50th anniversary.
A 50th-anniversary liquid vinyl edition of 2112 and The Spirit of Radio: Greatest Hits 1974-1987 will be released on October 2.
The new 2112 pressing uses black liquid vinyl inspired by the artwork for the band's 1976 album. The package includes a die-cut opening designed to display the disc, and the edition is available as a Sound of Vinyl exclusive.
Rush worked with producer Terry Brown on the original album, whose first side is occupied by the seven-part title suite. Side two includes "A Passage to Bangkok," "The Twilight Zone," "Lessons," "Tears," and "Something for Nothing."
