India, Sept. 2 -- Ollie's Bargain Outlet Holdings, Inc. (OLLI) shares rose 7.74 percent to $77.93 on Wednesday, after the discount retailer reported higher earnings and sales for its second quarter.

The stock opened at $76.00 and traded between $73.02 and $78.35. Its 52-week range is $60.29 to $139.21 on the Nasdaq. Trading volume was 851,163 shares, compared with an average volume of 1.99 million shares.

Net income increased to $85.45 million, or $1.42 per share, from $61.31 million, or $1.00 per share, in the same period last year. Revenue rose to $741.31 million from $679.56 million.
