India, Aug. 4 -- Oil prices rebounded on Tuesday, after having seen their biggest single-day decline in weeks to reach a three-week low the previous day on hopes for a diplomatic resolution to the U.S.-Iran war.

Brent crude futures were up 2.7 percent at $86 a barrel after plunging nearly 7 percent in the previous session.

WTI crude futures surged 2.3 percent to $82.20 after falling more than 5 percent on Monday.
