India, Sept. 30 -- Novo Nordisk A/S (NVO) on Wednesday announced new data on its investigational CagriSema at the 2026 European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) Annual Meeting, highlighting its effects on appetite-related brain activity, abdominal organ fat and bone health.
CagriSema is a once-weekly fixed-dose combination of cagrilintide, a long-acting amylin receptor agonist, and semaglutide, a GLP-1 receptor agonist, being developed for obesity and type 2 diabetes.
Novo is evaluating the drug candidate in the REDEFINE Phase 3 program for obesity, which includes pivotal efficacy and safety trials as well as studies assessing cardiovascular outcomes, body composition and maintenance of weight loss.
