India, Sept. 21 -- The 50th anniversary of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers will be celebrated with the release of a new box set, Origins 1971-1978, exploring the band's formative years. The collection is due out November 6 via UMe.
The five-LP collection traces Petty's musical development from the early Mudcrutch recordings through the formation of the Heartbreakers and their emergence in Los Angeles.
At its center is No Sleep Til L.A., a 12-track rarities collection featuring seven previously unreleased songs and five tracks in new high-resolution mixes.
