India, Oct. 10 -- A new series, titled "215," telling the story of Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff, is being produced by Smith's Westbrook Studios and private equity firm The Malar Group, according to Deadline.

According to a description, the show will track Smith's early life in Philadelphia (the title 215 is a reference to the city's area code), and his companionship with DJ Jazzy Jeff (real name Jeffrey Allen Townes) in the 1980s to "chase a record deal, money and a way out as the city's hip-hop scene takes off. Along the way they deal with label meetings, hometown loyalty, sudden fame and the friendships that hold them together, or almost don't."
