India, Aug. 7 -- NAVER Corporation (035420.KS), the South Korean online platform and search engine, Thursday reported lower operating income for the second quarter compared to the same period last year. However, revenue and net income increased by 16.2 percent and 42.9 percent respectively.

Quarterly operating income decreased 0.2 percent to KRW 520.3 billion from KRW 521.6 billion of last year.

However, net income increased to KRW 698.6 billion from KRW 488.8 billion of previous year.

Revenue rose to KRW 3.39 trillion from KRW 2.91 trillion of prior year.

On Friday, Naver shares are trading at KRW 210,500, down 6.86% on the Korean Stock Exchange.
