India, May 13 -- King of Pop Michael Jackson's The Essential Michael Jackson has returned to No. 1 on the U.K. albums chart for the first time in 17 years.
The release of the new biopic Michael fueled the resurgence of the career-spanning hits compilation. The album returned to No. 1 for the first time since 2009, when it spent seven weeks atop the chart following Jackson's death.
Two more Jackson albums also saw major gains, with 1982's Thriller jumping two spots to No. 6 and Bad climbing five places to No. 8, returning to the Top 10 for the first time in 14 years.
