India, July 23 -- Former Hole and Smashing Pumpkins bassist Melissa Auf der Maur has announced her first new album in 16 years.
Bass Womb Room: My '90s 4-Track Demos x Field Recordings, consisting of 15 unreleased demos from the 1990s and interludes created for her upcoming book exhibition, will be released on September 4 via Envision Records.
The songs were recorded by Auf der Maur on her 4-track tape recorder alone in her apartment, and experimental recordings captured on tour. The album was produced by Melissa Auf der Maur and Alex Crow.
