India, Aug. 20 -- Madonna and Taylor Swift lead the nominations for the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards.
The highly anticipated list of nominees for the 2026 VMAs was announced earlier this week, recognizing artists whose work during the last 12 months has pioneered the music industry and been the catalysts of global buzz.
With a total of 11 nominations, Madonna leads this year's nominees, looking to add to her 19 competitive VMAs wins. Swift received 9 nominations to add to her 30 Moon Persons.
Other top contenders include Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter (7 each), Bruno Mars, PinkPantheress and Zara Larsson (5 each), LISA (4), and Shakira and Tate McRae (3 each).
