India, Aug. 25 -- Shares of Madison Air Solutions Corporation (MAIR) are gaining about 10 percent on Tuesday morning after the company agreed to sell around 90.11 million shares of Class A common stock at $24.97 per share in a private placement expected to raise approximately $2.25 billion.

The company's shares are currently trading at $27.44 on the New York Stock Exchange, up 9.88 percent. The stock opened at $27.81 and has climbed as high as $29.60 so far in today's session. Over the past year, it has traded in a range of $24.75 to $44.50.
