India, Aug. 11 -- The Hong Kong stock market on Tuesday ended the two-day winning streak in which it had advanced more than 400 points or 1.6 percent. The Hang Seng Index now sits just above the 25,650-point plateau and it's tipped to open in the red again on Wednesday.
The global forecast for the Asian markets is soft thanks to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and the resulting spike in crude oil prices. The European markets were mixed and the U.S. bourses were down and the Asian markets figure to split the difference.
