India, Sept. 5 -- Lizzo has welcomed a federal judge's dismissal of a harassment and discrimination lawsuit against her touring company, saying "the truth has prevailed."
The lawsuit was filed in 2023 by former wardrobe assistant Asha Daniels, who alleged sexual and racial harassment, disability discrimination and a hostile work environment while working on the European leg of Lizzo's Special tour. Lizzo and her representatives denied the allegations.
U.S. District Judge Fernando L. Aenlle-Rocha dismissed Daniels' remaining claims on September 1, bringing the case against Lizzo's touring company, Big Grrrl Big Touring Inc., to an end unless Daniels challenges the ruling. Lizzo herself had been dismissed from the case in December 2024.
