India, Sept. 25 -- Lionel Richie has canceled three upcoming shows after reportedly undergoing a procedure to correct his atrial fibrillation.
"The doctor said everything went perfectly," a representative for Richie told Billboard. "Lionel is doing great, but will take some time off and will be back on stage soon."
The rep did not provide details about the treatment Richie received or when the procedure took place.
Atrial fibrillation, a condition that causes erratic heartbeat due to inefficient blood flow that can cause dizziness and fatigue, is usually treated through cardiac ablation or a pacemaker.
