India, Aug. 31 -- Lexicon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (LXRX), a biopharmaceutical company, on Monday reported new post-hoc results from the Phase 3 SOLOIST-WHF analysis.
Sotagliflozin is an oral dual sodium-glucose co-transporter 1 and 2 (SGLT1/SGLT2) inhibitor. It is being studied across patient populations with heart failure, diabetes and chronic kidney disease.
The Phase 3 SOLOIST-WHF trial evaluated sotagliflozin across 1,222 patients enrolled with type 2 diabetes, who were hospitalised for worsening heart failure. The post hoc analysis assessed efficacy and safety of the drug by measuring baseline systolic blood pressure (SBP) levels.
