India, Sept. 3 -- KKR & Co. Inc. (KKR), an investment firm, has entered into a definitive agreement to make a minority investment in Avisena Healthcare, a Malaysian healthcare provider based in Shah Alam.
The partnership is aimed at supporting Avisena's next phase of growth, including expanding multi-specialty offerings at its flagship hospitals and developing new greenfield hospitals within the Klang Valley.
Founded in 1996, Avisena operates Avisena Specialist Hospital and Avisena Specialist Hospital 2, serving the Shah Alam and Klang Valley communities. Malaysia's private healthcare market continues to see rising demand, with capacity growth lagging behind in key urban areas.
