India, Oct. 2 -- JD Wetherspoon plc (JDW.L), a pub operator, reported Friday lower pre-tax profit in fiscal 2026, despite growth in revenues.
During the last nine weeks ended September 27, 2026, like-for-like sales climbed 8.6 percent, aided by favorable weather conditions.
In the full year ended July 26, profit before tax of £77.7 million dropped 13.0 percent from £89.3 million in fiscal 2025. Earnings per share decreased to 55.8 pence from 56.8 pence a year ago.
Adjusted profit before tax declined to £58.6 million from £81.4 million in fiscal 2025. Adjusted earnings per share fell to 39.8 pence from 48.1 pence in the prior year.
