(INMB), a late-stage biotechnology company, announced the submission of Orphan Drug Designation and pre-Marketing Authorization Application (MAA) Scientific Advice packages to the European Medicines Agency (EMA) for Ebstrocel, an investigational cell therapy being developed for recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa.
Recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (RDEB) is a rare genetic disorder characterized by extreme skin fragility, chronic wounds, scarring, severe pain and itch, and systemic complications affecting multiple organs. Current treatment is largely focused on wound care and management of symptoms.
