India, July 20 -- The Indonesia stock market has finished higher in eight straight sessions, advancing more than 350 points or 5.8 percent in that span. The Jakarta Composite Index now rests just above the 6,230-point plateau although investors figure to cash in on Tuesday.
The global forecast for the major averages is soft on concerns over the outlook for interest rates and on the continuing conflict in the Middle East. The European markets were mixed and the U.S. bourses were down and the Asian markets figure to split the difference.
