India, July 19 -- The Indonesia stock market has finished higher in seven straight sessions, advancing more than 290 points or 4.9 percent in that span. The Jakarta Composite Index now rests just above the 6,175-point plateau although investors figure to cash in on Monday.

The global forecast for the Asian markets is soft on tech weakness, rising oil prices and Middle East concerns. The European markets were mixed and the U.S. bourses were down and the Asian markets figure to split the difference.
