India, Nov. 1 -- The manufacturing sector in Indonesia continued to expand in October, and at a faster pace, the latest survey from S&P Global revealed on Monday with a Performance of Manufacturing Index score of 54.0.
That was up from 52.5 in September and it moved further above the boom-or-bust line of 50 that separates expansion from contraction.
Central to October's uptick was stronger demand for Indonesian manufactured goods. New orders rose for the third consecutive month, and at the fastest pace since October 2021. Panel members linked the increase to improved customer confidence and new product launches.
