India, Nov. 6 -- Gold prices traded lower on Friday but were on course for their strongest weekly advance since August as softening crude oil prices helped ease inflation concerns.
Spot gold dipped 0.3 percent to $4,075 an ounce but was up more than 4 percent for the week. U.S. gold futures were down 0.8 percent at $4,083 an ounce.
The U.S. dollar was seeing some positive traction, drawing support from haven demand as investors try to get a sense of how much deeper the technology selloff can go.
