India, Aug. 11 -- Extending the gains from the previous two sessions, gold prices have edged higher on Tuesday as investors analyzed reports indicating a possible U.S.-Iran deal while the recent standoff over demands for reparation costs and the consequent delay in the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz kept expectations of high interest rates in the U.S. alive, weighing on the yellow metal.
Front Month Comex Gold for September month delivery has inched higher by $23.20 (or 0.53%) to $4,394.60 per troy ounce.
