India, Sept. 24 -- French consumer confidence remained weak and steady for the second straight month in September, monthly survey results published by the statistical office INSEE showed Thursday.
The consumer sentiment index came in at 86.0 in September, the same as in the previous two months. Meanwhile, economists had expected the score to fall to 85.0.
Households' opinion regarding their personal financial situation over the next twelve months weakened slightly in September, with the corresponding index falling to -14 from -13. Meanwhile, the index measuring their past financial situation rose to -26 from -27.
