India, March 28 -- FKA Twigs has filed a lawsuit against her ex-partner Shia LaBeouf over an "unlawful" non-disclosure agreement included in the settlement that resulted from the singer's 2020 sexual battery lawsuit against the actor.

The singer, whose real name is Tahliah Barnett, filed a lawsuit against the actor in 2020, accusing him of "relentless abuse" during their relationship, including sexual battery, assault, and infliction of emotional distress.

After years of delays, a jury trial was set to start in September 2025, but the parties settled before it began.

According to the new lawsuit, this was done to allow "LaBeouf to avoid a public and embarrassing jury trial and potentially enormous damages for his conduct."
