India, Sept. 1 -- The euro area unemployment rate remained unchanged in July, Eurostat reported on Tuesday.
The jobless rate stood at 6.4 percent in July, unchanged from June. In the same period last year, the unemployment rate was 6.3 percent. The number of people out of work remained unchanged from June, at 11.264 million. Compared to last year, unemployment increased 175,000.
The youth unemployment rate edged down to 14.9 percent in July from 15.0 percent in June. Youth unemployment decreased by 26,000 from June.
