India, Aug. 19 -- Eurozone inflation rose slightly in July due to the surge in energy prices, final data from Eurostat showed Wednesday.

Inflation edged up to 2.9 percent in July from 2.8 percent in June. The rate came in line with the estimate published on July 31.

Core inflation that excludes energy, food, alcohol and tobacco, rose to 2.5 percent from 2.4 percent in the previous month. The core rate also matched the preliminary estimate.
