India, Sept. 1 -- European stocks closed weak on Tuesday, weighed down by concerns about inflation and interest rates as oil prices climbed higher and bond yields rose amid the ongoing conflict between Iran and the U.S. Weak German retail sales data and a report showing an acceleration in Eurozone inflation hurt as well.
Brent crude futures climbed above $92.50 a barrel today on fears of supply disruption due to the ongoing Middle East conflict. According to reports, Iran retaliated with attacks on the UAE and Jordan after U.S. forces targeted an island in the Strait of Hormuz.
