India, Aug. 28 -- Cytokinetics, Incorporated (CYTK), a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing muscle-directed therapies, announced positive results from its pivotal Phase 3 ACACIA-HCM trial of aficamten in symptomatic non-obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (nHCM).

The ACACIA-HCM trial met both dual primary endpoints at Week 36, demonstrating statistically significant improvements in Kansas City Cardiomyopathy Questionnaire Clinical Summary Score (KCCQ-CSS) and maximal exercise capacity measured by pVO2 compared with placebo.

The treatment effects of aficamten were consistent across all prespecified patient subgroups, including age, sex, genotype, atrial fibrillation status and baseline left ventricular ejection fraction.
