India, Oct. 27 -- On Tuesday, CoStar Group (CSGP), a global provider of online real estate marketplaces and property data, has agreed to acquire Vexcel Group for approximately $730 million in cash. Vexcel operates one of the world's largest aerial imagery programs.
Vexcel captures over 60 million aerial images annually across more than 45 countries and 320 major cities, covering 99.6% of the U.S. population.
It updates major U.S. cities up to three times a year and captures disaster areas within 24 hours. Vexcel also manufactures its own aerial cameras and delivers highly detailed imagery used in real estate, insurance, disaster response, infrastructure planning, mapping, and AI applications.
