Corteva Rejects Attorneys' General Objection To Business Separation, Cites 'Unfounded' Claims
India, Sept. 15 -- Corteva Inc. (CTVA), an agriculture company, rejected on Monday the attempted prevention of the company's planned separation by multiple U.S. State Attorneys General. The Indianapolis-based company released plans in October 2025 outlining a planned separation of its business into two independent, public-trading companies. According to the proposal, the current Crop Protection section of the company would be established as 'New Corteva', while 'SpinCo' would comprise the current seed and genetics business. At the time, the separation was intended through a spin-off of SpinCo to qualify as a tax-free transaction estimated to close by the second quarter of 2026.
