India, Sept. 29 -- CarMax, Inc. (KMX) is up 6.51 percent, gaining $3.68 to $60.23 on Tuesday. The move comes after the used-car retailer reported higher second-quarter earnings, with net income rising to $165.29 million, or $1.16 per share, from $95.38 million, or $0.64 per share, a year earlier.

CarMax is currently trading at $60.23, up from the previous close of $56.55 after opening at $60.40on the New York Stock Exchange. The stock has traded between $59.05 and $63.67 during the session, with trading volume at 5.69 million shares versus average volume of 2.35 million.

Revenue for the quarter rose 19.5 percent, to $7.878 billion from $6.595 billion a year earlier. Shares have traded between $30.26 and $65.28 over the past 52 weeks.
