India, Oct. 1 -- Candel Therapeutics (CADL) reported final Phase 2a results showing a median overall survival of 24.5 months with aglatimagene besadenovec plus valacyclovir in patients with advanced NSCLC who had an inadequate response to immune checkpoint inhibitors.

Aglatimagene is an investigational multimodal immunotherapy designed to stimulate an immune response against injected tumors and distant metastases.

The Phase 2a trial included 46 evaluable patients. Among 41 patients with progressive disease on ICI therapy, median overall survival was 21.5 months, while patients with non-squamous disease had a median overall survival of 25.4 months.
