India, Oct. 1 -- Canadian Pacific Kansas City Limited (CP) said Thursday it reached a tentative five-year collective agreement with Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen (BLET).

The agreement, which provides for higher wages and more flexible work rules, covers about 250 train and engine employees on the southern portion of the Dakota, Minnesota and Eastern (DM&E) property, operating in Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, and Missouri.

The agreement is subject to ratification by union members.

CPKC shares closed down 1.63% at $85.10 on Wednesday.
