India, Sept. 8 -- On Tuesday, Canaan Inc. (CAN), a compute and energy infrastructure company, reported wider loss in the second quarter of 2026, compared to the same quarter last year, due to lower revenue generated. Additionally, the company released its outlook for the third quarter.

On the Nasdaq, the shares were trading 9.81 percent lower at $0.3247.

Net loss for the period widened to $97.61 million or $0.90 per share from $11.06 million or $0.18 per share in the same quarter a year ago.

Adjusted EBITDA loss was $74.90 million, compared to the earnings of $25.34 million in the prior year.
