India, Sept. 8 -- Campine NV (CAMB.BR), a Belgian specialty chemicals and circular metals company, Tuesday announced that it has agreed to acquire Flamaway Group, a Belgian producer of flame-retardant mixtures with manufacturing operations in Belgium, UK and China.
The financial details of the transaction have not been divulged.
Flamaway produces around 10,000 tons of compounds annually, and this is surmised to result in a volume growth of more than 50 percent Campine's flame retardant sales.
Further, the acquisition is expected to strengthen Campine's position in the flame-retardant market, adding Flamaway's expertise in multi-material formulations to Campine's existing specialty chemicals and masterbatch activities.
