India, July 22 -- On Wednesday, Cal-Maine Foods, Inc. (CALM), a poultry company, reported a slip to loss in fourth quarter of 2026, due to lower revenue, compared to the prior year.

In the pre-market activity on Nasdaq, the shares were trading 4.69 percent lower at $83.16, after closing Tuesday's trading 1.32 percent down.

Quarterly loss attributable to the company was $35.88 million, compared to profit of $342.48 million in the same quarter last year. Net loss per share was $0.76, in comparison with the earnings per share of $7.01 in the previous year.

Revenue for the period fell 49.9 percent to $552.58 million from $1.10 billion a year ago
