India, May 14 -- Shares of Brookfield Corporation (BN) are gaining about 7 percent in Thursday morning trading after the company announced a rise in its first-quarter earnings of $102 million or $0.03 per share compared to $73 million or $0.01 per share of last year.
The company's shares are currently trading at $48.42 on the New York Stock Exchange, up 7.42 percent. The stock opened today's session at $45.88. Over the past year, it has traded in a range of $37.54 to $49.57.
