India, Aug. 26 -- BridgeBio Pharma, Inc. (BBIO) announced that the first participant has been dosed in ASCEND-ATTR, a Phase 3b/4 study designed to evaluate the long-term effects of Acoramidis in patients with transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM).

The trial builds on earlier findings from the ATTRibute-CM CMR substudy, which suggested Acoramidis may not only slow disease progression but also improve cardiac structure and function, with evidence of amyloid regression in some patients.
