India, Oct. 19 -- BioVie Inc. (BIVI), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing therapies for neurological disorders, announced that it presented Phase 2 data on investigational bezisterim (NE3107) for Long COVID at the 151st Annual Meeting of the American Neurological Association, held October 17-20 in San Diego, California.
The ADDRESS-LC trial evaluated bezisterim versus placebo in 203 patients over 12 weeks, assessing fatigue, post-exertional malaise (PEM), cognitive impairment and other neurological symptoms.
In patients with more severe fatigue at baseline, bezisterim produced a mean 8.93-point improvement in PROMIS Fatigue scores at Week 12, compared with 5.30 points for placebo (p=0.02).
