India, July 13 -- Bavarian Nordic A/S (BVNKF,BAVA.CO), a Danish vaccine company, said on Monday its partner Eurofarma had submitted an application to Brazilian health regulator Anvisa for approval of its chikungunya vaccine, CHIKV VLP, for people aged 12 and older.
The regulatory submission is supported by clinical data demonstrating that Vimkunya generated strong neutralizing antibody responses across age groups and maintained a favorable safety profile.
The application marks a milestone in the partnership between the two companies and targets one of the countries most affected by chikungunya.
