India, Aug. 6 -- Amazon Inc. (AMZN) announced that its pharmacy unit will being offering GLP-1 weight-loss medications to Medicare Part D beneficiaries through the CMS GLP-1 Bridge Program.
The initiative allows eligible patients to obtain FDA-approved GLP-1 therapies such as Wegovy (Novo Nordisk) and Zepbound (Eli Lilly), at reduced out-of-pocket costs. Under the program, qualifying Medicare members can pay as little as $50 per month through 2027, with coverage supported by CMS and manufacturer participation.
