India, Aug. 21 -- Alvotech (ALVO), a global biotechnology company specializing in biosimilar medicines, announced a strategic licensing and commercialization agreement with Lotus Pharmaceutical covering two proposed biosimilars in the U.S. and selected Asian markets.
The agreement covers AVT34, a proposed biosimilar to AstraZeneca's Imfinzi (durvalumab), which is in early-stage development.
It also includes AVT87, a proposed biosimilar to Roche's Hemlibra (emicizumab), which is currently in pre-clinical development.
Under the semi-exclusive U.S. agreement, Alvotech will retain the right to commercialize both products directly alongside Lotus.
Lotus will market the products through its U.S.-based subsidiary, Alvogen.
