India, Sept. 21 -- Alter Ego Media S.A. (AEM.AT) Monday said that its first-half profit surged compared with last year, helped by higher consolidated turnover. The company's EBIT also rose from a year ago.
The Greek media and entertainment company posted net profit of 6 million euros in the first half of the year, higher than 1.3 million euros in the same period last year. Earnings Before Interest and Taxes, or EBIT, surged 115 percent to 8.5 million euros from 3.9 million euros in the year-ago period.
Alter Ego Media said that consolidated turnover for the first half amounted to 74 million euros, 25 percent higher than 59.1 million euros in the previous year period.
