India, Sept. 9 -- Austrian sugar, starch and fruit processor AGRANA Beteiligungs AG (AGB2.F,AGB2.DE,AGR.VI), announced on Wednesday that it intends to acquire esarom gmbh and esarom holding gmbh, a flavour and beverage solutions company, in a transaction valuing esarom at about 150 million euros.
The deal is aimed at strengthening AGRANA's Food & Beverage Solutions business by combining esarom's tailored taste and functional formulations with AGRANA's fruit preparations, juice concentrates and beverage bases.
AGRANA said the planned integration would create a three-site production cluster in Austria, combining esarom's Oberrohrbach and Ruckersdorf facilities with AGRANA's Krollendorf site. The move is expected to accelerate product develo...
