India, July 7 -- Shares of Agios Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (AGIO) gained more than 12% on Tuesday morning after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration granted Priority Review to the company's supplemental New Drug Application (sNDA) for mitapivat in sickle cell disease.
The stock is currently trading at $42.00, up $4.61 or 12.33%, on the Nasdaq. It opened at $39.62 after closing the previous session at $37.39. The stock has traded between $22.24 and $46.00 over the past 52 weeks.
