France, Sept. 21 -- Macron and Trump are expected to discuss the wars in Iran and Ukraine and as well as the conflict in the Middle East.

"France is convening a UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine and is also focused on Black Sea food security and grain exports," said a spokesperson for the French foreign ministry.

Both Macron and Trump are scheduled to hold talks with President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine on the sidelines of the general assembly.

Macron's meeting with Trump comes after Macron and Carney announced closer ties between the countries.
