Infantino reiterates intention to run for fourth term as Fifa boss
France, Sept. 6 -- "The Fifa president announced in April that he will stand for re-election in 2027," a Fifa spokesperson said.
"Of course, nothing has changed. Mr Infantino will be standing for re-election."
The statement from Fifa came less than a day after Infantino refused to answer questions over his future during the opening round of games at the Women's Under-20 World Cup in Poland.
The 56-year-old Swiss has been at the epicentre of the storm since late July when details emerged in the media of his Fifa Forward Enterprise (FFE) plan.
