Ghana squad embraces love of the fans at start of World Cup campaign
France, June 17 -- "That's one thing they say about Ghanaians is that they always support the team," said midfielder Kwasi Sibo.
"The fans always show up," added the 27-year-old. "They always give out the love that we need as a as a team. And I feel that support, that love really plays a lot in the game when you're playing a match."
Ghana have been based in the United States since arriving for the World Cup.
They flew into Toronto on Monday and were greeted by hundreds of fans who had gathered outside the squad's hotel in the city centre.
"Arriving and seeing our people at the hotel, it was so beautiful," added Sibo who turns out for the Spanish side Real Oviedo.
"And it gives a different kind of energy and a different kind of spirit...
